Over the last few months, Bar Council Malaysia and IDEAS have spent considerable time with civil society organisations such as Transparency International Malaysia, Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4), and Citizens’ Network for a Better Malaysia (CNBM), to draft a Memorandum containing proposals to strengthen the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) from a legal standpoint.
Following this, IDEAS and Bar Council Malaysia are jointly organising a public consultation to discuss and gain inputs on these proposals by bringing together experts from diverse fields and members of the public. This consultation will discuss potential reforms to the MACC and other related laws to invigorate the fight against corruption in Malaysia.
Be a part of this discussion!
