KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) — Global publishing firm, Oxford Business Group (OBG), and Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS), have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on research for a coming report on the country’s economy.
Under the MOU, OBG will work with IDEAS to compile and produce ‘The Report: Malaysia 2016’.
The report, which is available in print and online, will provide a detailed analysis of what the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community at the end of 2015 signals for both the regional and global economy.
OBG’s Regional Manager for Asia, Lauren Denny, said she was delighted that the group’s team in Malaysia would benefit from IDEAS’ knowledge of the country’s economy.
“OBG has long recognised the importance of working closely with local partners who bring on-the-ground insight and expertise to the table,” she said in a statement Tuesday.
The Report: Malaysia 2016 would be a vital guide to the many facets of the country’s economy including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, banking and sectoral developments.
IDEAS is Malaysia’s first think-tank dedicated to promote market-based solutions to public policy challenges.
